Group Classes

Learn to keep yourself out of pain.

**Note** Group Classes are currently paused. **

Group Classes are live online and 60 minutes long. They are a helpful bridge between Individual Sessions and continuing the process at home, as you take a more active role.

During the class you’ll follow a sequence of movement instructions and become aware of your own postural habits. “Oh, I didn’t realize how often I hold my belly tight. And how that affects the tension in my neck.”

I’ll send a zoom link in advance and you’ll set up a comfortable place to lie on the floor. A blanket or yoga mat over carpet is perfect to lie on. And a few pillows gives you a good selection for support. You’ll need about an arm’s length of space around you on all sides.

A Group Class Story

Tiffany was familiar with discomfort. Starting with jaw and neck pain as a teenager, she had been in pain for 25 years.

Besides an ancient knee injury, the pain was worse in her neck and shoulders, and it sometimes radiated up to her head.

Understated to Hide the Unbelievable Pain

When she told me how irritable and impatient she was at her job, a demanding supervisory position with 40 direct reports, I was shocked.

Her sweet smile and gentle demeanor hid the truth:  she was totally exhausted and felt like crap.

But Not Desperate

She wasn’t actually desperate, though, when she called me. Accustomed to a long search for pain relief, she described herself as “fine” – compared with how she felt 25 years ago.

But she was depleted.

She’d tried yoga, chiropractic, trigger point massage, and Rolfing. Through all those efforts, she had decreased the constant pain; however, she still woke up with headaches and fought her way through work with a bottle of Excedrin and sheer willpower.

Amazed

We started Individual Sessions, and she was amazed at the pace of change. Within six months, her headaches were almost gone.

At that point, we added space between Individual Sessions and added Online Sessions.

Her knee pain disappeared – and she went from getting around like a disjointed marionette to flowing through her day like a breeze.

Better Than She Could Ever Have Imagined

After nine months of working together, Tiffany started weekly Group Sessions, and she started reaching new levels of improvement. She is confident in her own ability to keep herself out of pain, and at work she has more energy and patience than ever.

Tiffany continues weekly Group Sessions to this day, and her familiar neck and shoulder pain is gone. Her biggest comment about this process is that she’s improved even more than she could have imagined.
